MG Hector: After closing the order books for the Hector for nearly two months, MG Motor has now started accepting bookings yet again. While that’s good news for prospective buyers, MG has hiked the prices marginally. Also, it’s highly unlikely that customers who book one now would be able to get their hands on the SUV anytime soon.

Tata Nexon EV: Tata Motors surprised us by announcing the launch of the electric version of the Nexon SUV. This EV is slated to debut early next year and is expected to deliver around 300km of range per charge.

Ford and Mahindra JV: Ford and Mahindra will be joining hands to develop new cars for sale in India. These cars will bear separate badges but will have similarities under the skin, akin to cars from Volkswagen and Skoda. A total of seven cars are in the pipeline, including rivals to the Kia Seltos, MG Hector along with an electric car based on the Aspire.

Maruti S-Presso: Maruti launched S-Presso late last month with prices starting at Rs 3.69 lakh going till Rs 4.91 lakh. It is available in a total of four variants, a 1.0-litre petrol engine and two transmission choices.

Maruti S-Presso vs Renault Kwid: Renault played a clever hand by launching the Kwid facelift just a day after the S-Presso’s launch. The Kwid facelift gets significant updates and more features than the S-Presso.
