The Altroz is the first Tata model to be built on the ALFA ARC modular platform. Here are the exact dimensions of the 2020 Altroz:

Tata has styled the Altroz to follow the brand’s Impact 2.0 design. The projector headlamps are connected by a honeycomb mesh grille. Meanwhile, the LED DRLs are integrated into the front fog lamps positioned on the front bumper. Around the rear, the Altroz sports split LED taillamps linked by a black section on the bootlid. The rear door handles are integrated into the top corner of the rear doors. It gets a blacked-out roof too.
The Altroz is expected to launch with three BS6 engines. However, Tata has only revealed details of the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine so far.

Tata will be offering the Altroz with 16-inch diamond-cut alloys while the spare wheel will be a 14-inch unit. It gets disc brakes up front and drum brakes at the rear. Safety equipment includes dual front airbags, driver and co-driver seatbelt reminder, front and rear fog lamps, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. The middle passenger in the rear seat only gets a lap belt.
The Altroz’ instrument cluster features a 7-inch TFT colour multi info display and an analogue speedometer. It has a dual-tone black and grey dashboard with a 7-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. The dash also gets silver inserts around the vents and some on the flat-bottom steering wheel, which houses media controls as well.
Other notable features of the Altroz include cruise control, auto AC, multi-drive modes (Eco & City), push-button stop-start and auto headlamps. The hatchback also gets ambient lighting, front sliding armrest with storage, rear central armrest, rear AC vents, tilt adjustable steering and a height-adjustable driver seat. The infotainment system gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay while the 100W Harman audio system uses 4 speakers and 2 tweeters.
The Tata Altroz is expected to be priced between Rs 5.5 lakh and Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom), while bookings will begin tomorrow for a deposit of Rs 21,000. It will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Toyota Glanza, Volkswagen Polo and Honda Jazz.
